Judy Putnam: Changing opinions on same-sex unions

Public opinion has shifted dramatically since Michigan voters approved a ban on same-sex marriage and civil unions more than a decade ago.

Polling suggests that voters today are much more likely to support same-sex marriage than in November 2004 when 59% of Michigan voters approved a state ban on same-sex marriages.

That’s a shift to the correct side of the issue, in my view, and we have younger voters to thank for the sea change in opinion.  Read More
