Victims should never get lost in discussions on reforming Michigan’s criminal justice system. Prosecuting criminals is critical to public safety, as is making sure those convicted are properly punished.
But any comprehensive corrections reform must include substantial help for victims, who often suffer trauma as well as financial loss.
