U.S. Sen. Debbie Stabenow talks Port of Muskegon growth, possible shipping chokepoint

MUSKEGON, MI – U.S. Sen. Debbie Stabenow was upbeat about activities to re-develop the Port of Muskegon during a Thursday visit.

Developing shipping activity at the Port of Muskegon has been voted the top priority in the West Michigan’s Regional Prosperity Alliance, and is high on the county and city’s agendas this year.  Stabenow, one of Michigan’s two Democratic senators, agreed on its importance during a Aug. 13 visit to MLive Muskegon Chronicle.
