Democrat Gretchen Whitmer Looks To Separate Herself in Field of Candidates for Governor

It is very early in Michigan’s 2018 gubernatorial race. That said, the race is beginning to take shape as hopeful candidates, such as Gretchen Whitmer, have started to announce their intention to run for governor. Whitmer, the former state Senate minority leader, announced her candidacy in January.

Since then she has been going all over Michigan to get a sense of the issues that people care about.
